App Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
This policy covers the Veyas app: the attorney dashboard law firms use and the intake interview their clients answer. It is run by Veyas AI Inc. (“Veyas”, “we”). The veyas.ai website has its own Website Privacy Policy. The app has not launched; this policy applies from the first time a firm uses it with real matters.
Who is responsible for what
Your law firm decides what information to collect from its clients and what to do with it. For client information, the firm is in charge and Veyas handles it only on the firm's behalf and on its instructions, under the data processing agreement each firm signs. For the accounts of the people who work at a firm, Veyas is responsible for that information itself.
If you are a client of a law firm using Veyas, your firm is the place to start with any question about your information. We help your firm answer it.
What the app holds
| What | From whom | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, work email and role of each person at the firm | The firm | To give them an account and show them the cases they may see |
| Intake answers, such as names, addresses, dates, identifiers and background information | The firm's clients, during the interview | To prepare the immigration matter the firm is handling |
| Uploaded documents, such as passports and certificates | The firm's clients | To read them, fill the answers they belong to, and check those answers |
| The client's email, and a one-time sign-in code | The firm, then the client | To send the private interview link and confirm it is them |
| A record of who did what, and when | Everyone using the app | To keep an audit log the firm can see, and to keep the app secure |
How we use it
- Only to run the app for your firm: the interview, reading documents, cross-checking answers, and the attorney's review.
- Never to advertise, never to build profiles, and never sold or rented to anyone.
- The AI that runs the interview and the cross-checks sees identifiers only masked, and never sees the most sensitive answers, such as background information and immigration proceedings. It never decides anything; the attorney does.
Who can see it
- Only the attorneys at your firm can view all of its cases. Matters can be limited to the people who handle them.
- Clients see only their own interview.
- No one at Veyas has standing access to a firm's information. Support can see a matter only through a time-limited grant your firm creates and can revoke, and every view is recorded in your firm's audit log.
- A small number of outside services host the app, store it and read uploaded documents, each only to provide that service. They are listed in the data processing agreement, and we send the list to any firm that asks.
- We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it, and we tell the firm unless we are not allowed to.
Security
The app is hosted in the United States. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, the most sensitive answers are encrypted field by field, and uploaded documents are encrypted and stored privately. The details are on Security.
How long it is kept
- While your firm's account is active. A firm can export any matter at any time.
- After a firm cancels, its information is permanently deleted within 30 days. Encrypted backups are cleared on the schedule in the data processing agreement.
- The audit log is kept as long as the firm's account, so the firm can show who saw what.
Your choices and rights
Clients can ask their law firm to see, correct, export or delete their information, and the firm can do it in the app or ask us to help. People who work at a firm can ask us directly at info@veyas.ai. We confirm within 24–48 hours and complete the request within 30 days.
Children
Immigration cases can involve children, so a firm may enter information about a minor as part of a case. That information is handled exactly like the rest of the case, on the firm's instructions. Accounts and the interview itself are for adults; a parent or guardian answers for a child.
If something goes wrong
If a security incident affects a firm's information, we tell the firm as set out in its data processing agreement, with what happened, what was affected and what we are doing about it.
Changes
If we change how the app handles information, we update this page and the date at the top, and email every firm before a change that matters to them takes effect.
