App Terms of Service
Last updated November 1, 2026
These terms cover a law firm's use of the Veyas app: the attorney dashboard and the client intake interview. They are between your firm and Veyas AI Inc. (“Veyas”, “we”). The veyas.ai website has its own Website Terms of Service. The app has not launched; these terms apply from the first time your firm uses it with real matters.
Your firm accepts these terms by ticking the box when it signs up. The person who accepts them confirms they are 18 or older and may bind the firm. Together with the data processing agreement and any order form for your plan, they are the whole agreement between your firm and Veyas about the app.
Who may use Veyas
- Veyas is for law firms with at least one attorney in good standing with a U.S. state bar, and for recognized organizations working through accredited representatives. It is not for anyone who offers immigration services without that authority.
- The firm decides who gets an account and what role they have. Only attorneys at the firm can view all of its cases; matters can be limited to the people who handle them.
- Keep sign-in details private, and tell us at info@veyas.ai straight away if you think an account has been misused.
- The firm is responsible for what happens under its accounts.
Immigration practice rules
Many states regulate who may help people with immigration matters, including California (Business and Professions Code §22440 and following), New York (General Business Law Article 28-C) and Illinois (815 ILCS 505/2AA). Veyas is built to stay on the right side of these laws, and your firm agrees to use it that way:
- Veyas is software your firm uses. It is not an immigration consultant, notario, document preparer or law firm, and it does not offer immigration services to anyone.
- The client interview is your firm's intake, given under your firm's name and supervision. Veyas does not choose the forms, give advice, charge clients or contact them except to deliver what your firm sends.
- Your firm supervises how it uses Veyas, as its professional rules require of any assistant or vendor, and stays responsible for complying with the immigration-services, advertising and bar rules that apply to it.
What the firm is responsible for
- Having the right to collect and use the information it puts into Veyas, and telling its clients that it uses Veyas.
- Inviting only its own clients, with their correct contact details.
- Keeping its own copy of any record it must retain. Lawyers often must keep client files for years, so export them before you cancel.
- Using the app only for lawful immigration practice, and not trying to break, overload or get around its security.
The attorney decides
Nothing in Veyas is legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship with Veyas. Veyas reads documents, cross-checks answers and flags what does not match, but it can be wrong and it never decides. The attorney reviews every answer and flag, and stays responsible for the advice they give and everything they file.
Plans and fees
- Every price and charge is shown before you choose a paid plan. There are no setup, onboarding or cancellation fees.
- Each plan includes a number of AI intakes a month. Extra intakes are charged only when used, at the rate for your plan. An AI intake is one completed client interview for a new case.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, by card. Sales tax, where it applies, is shown before you pay.
- Plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. We email a reminder at least 14 days before an annual plan renews.
- We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your firm.
- Refunds follow the Refund Policy.
Your firm's data
- Your firm owns everything it and its clients put into Veyas. We use it only to provide the app to your firm.
- How it is handled is in the App Privacy Policy, the data processing agreement and on Security.
- We tell your firm at least 30 days before we add a new outside service that handles client data, and your firm may object or cancel.
- You can export any matter at any time.
Veyas itself
Veyas AI Inc. owns the app, its software and the Veyas name. Your firm may use the app for its own practice while its plan is active. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Veyas without owing you anything for them.
Confidentiality
We keep your firm's information confidential, and use and share it only as these terms, the App Privacy Policy and the data processing agreement allow. Your firm keeps non-public information it learns about Veyas, such as pricing offered only to it, confidential too.
Ending the service
- Your firm can cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the period paid for, and you are not charged again.
- We may suspend an account that puts the app, its clients or other firms at risk, or that breaks these terms, and we tell the firm why unless the law stops us. We may end the agreement if a breach is not fixed within 30 days of our notice.
- After cancellation your firm can still export its matters for 30 days. We email before that window closes, and then permanently delete your firm's information.
- If we ever wind down, firms get at least 90 days' notice and export access before anything is deleted.
- The sections on the attorney deciding, Veyas itself, confidentiality, indemnity, liability, and disputes still apply after the agreement ends.
Indemnity
Your firm will defend Veyas and pay any resulting damages and reasonable costs if someone outside the agreement brings a claim arising from your firm's data or instructions, its use of the app in breach of these terms, or the legal services it gives its clients. Veyas will tell your firm promptly about the claim, let it control the defense, and help where reasonable. Your firm may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault for Veyas without our agreement.
What we promise, and its limits
We work to keep Veyas available, secure and accurate, and we will provide it with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will be error-free or always available.
To the extent the law allows, neither your firm nor Veyas is liable to the other for indirect, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits. Each side's total liability under this agreement is limited to the greater of the amount your firm paid for Veyas in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. These limits do not apply to your firm's payment obligations or its indemnity, or to liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
- Before going to court, we each agree to try to settle a dispute in good faith for 30 days after one of us writes to the other about it.
- If that does not work, the dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Delaware, and both sides agree to those courts. To the extent the law allows, both sides waive a jury trial.
General
- If these terms and the data processing agreement disagree about client data, the data processing agreement wins.
- If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term at one time does not waive it.
- Neither side may transfer this agreement without the other's consent, except to a company that takes over all or most of its business.
- Neither side is responsible for a delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, such as outages of the internet or of providers we rely on, natural disasters or government action, as long as it works to resume.
- We send notices by email to the address your firm gives us. Your firm sends notices to info@veyas.ai.
- Your firm and Veyas are independent businesses; neither is the other's agent or partner.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top, and email every firm at least 30 days before a change that matters to them takes effect. If your firm does not accept a change, it can cancel before it takes effect and get a prorated refund of prepaid fees.
